Before You Hit the Road Follow These Tips

Summertime is swiftly approaching and we all know what happens; road trips! All year long college kids plan their road trips as well as many families. Everyone loves a good road trip, but if you are not properly prepared your vacation can turn into a nightmare. To give you some assistance and to help your vacation go as smoothly as possible here are a few tips that will give you comfort before embarking on your journey.

Make sure your vehicle is road-ready

• Check the integrity of your tires and make sure they are properly inflated
• Top off all of your fluids
• Change your oil and pack extra oil for long road trips

Plan accordingly

• Be sure to have a plan in place and prepare for variables that may come up
• Be sure to pack food and, of course, snacks
• Have all of the documents that you may need (Driver’s license, passport, etc.)
• Have an emergency kit in the car that includes bottled water, a blanket, and a first aid kit
