2020 Porsche 911 Carerra S

The 2020 Porsche 911 pays homage to the heritage of the world’s definitive sports car while embracing the future. Taking its design cues from the classic 911 models of the past, the exciting new 992 is equipped with a re-engineered engine and the latest tech and safety features. Learn more about what to expect when the new 2020 Porsche 992 arrives in the showroom here at Rusnak/Pasadena Fall 2019.

Porsche 992: Design and Features

The exterior styling of the Porsche 992 is an updated version of the early 911 design and is sure to be a big hit with Arcadia area Porsche fans. The 992 is slightly longer and wider than the 2019 Porsche 911, and incorporates lightweight aluminum body panels. The exterior door handles are flush with the body and pop out when activated by the keyfob. There is a retractable rear spoiler and an LED light strip runs between the rear taillights, reminiscent of the 911 Turbo of the ’70s. Inside you’ll notice that the dashboard resembles that of classic 911 models updated to include an analog tachometer and two 7-inch displays. A standard 10.9-inch touchscreen provides access to Porsche Communication Management (PCM) features including a navigation system. Advanced safety and driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic parking, night vision, and collision detection with braking intervention are also included. A new feature that will intrigue Los Angeles drivers is the Wet Mode. Using acoustic sensors mounted in the wheel wells, this innovative system detects wet road conditions and automatically adjusts the transmission and stability control to compensate.

Porsche 992: Performance

At this point the only engine we’re certain of is a 3.0L twin-turbo flat 6-cylinder that delivers an impressive 443 hp thanks to new injectors, new intercoolers, re-engineered turbos, an asymmetrical valve stroke, and a higher compression rate. An 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission is standard.
