We’ve already highlighted some of the capabilities that have made the Porsche Taycan so popular with performance enthusiasts. After all, the only thing better than a powerful, lightning-fast sports car is a powerful, lightning-fast sports car that uses no gasoline at all. The strongest models in the lineup offer up to 750 horsepower.
However, it’s important to note that the Taycan EV is always an impressive performer, even if you don’t opt for one of the range-topping trims. The more accessible models offer up to 402 hp—and range has been improved by roughly 3.5% to 10%, depending on your choice of configuration. The latest EPA estimates suggest that the Taycan offers a range of up to 246 miles.
Moving down the lineup will net you more power at the expense of some range—but since this model charges up so quickly, a little range is a small price to pay for a better track time.
The 2023 Porsche Taycan interior comes equipped with everything you’ll need for more connected and more enjoyable drives. The range of standard features includes a 10.9-inch central touchscreen that has been redesigned with brighter colors and a quicker operating system. You’ll also have access to a second 8.4-inch central touchscreen, a 16.8-inch Curved-Glass Digital Gauge Cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, and much more. Two more touchscreens are optional, along with amenities like heated front and rear seats. Leather upholstery is always standard, and it’s available in a wide range of eye-catching colors.
The 2023 Porsche Taycan features 2+2 seating, and in its Cross Turismo configuration, it even offers up to 42.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded flat! Of course, the 2023 Porsche Taycan dimensions are also impressive if you opt for the smaller sports car body—and both versions of this vehicle can seat up to five with an optional upgrade. Both models also feature a front luggage compartment that can securely store an additional 2.9 cubic feet of cargo in a pinch.
Neither the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety nor the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has tested the 2023 Porsche Taycan, but this is common for luxury vehicles of the Taycan EV’s caliber. It does, however, come standard with a full range of impressive safety and driver-assistance features. These include automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, front/rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Useful upgrades, including blind spot monitoring, a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control, are all optional features.
Here’s what you could expect to pay if you were to bring home a brand new 2022 Porsche Taycan:
